Holy Days and Spiritual Festivals 2026

Living a Life of Purpose, Peace, and Awareness

We are happy to present the major Indian Spiritual Festivals and the Holy Days of the OM Sri Alakhpuriji Siddha Peeth Parampara for the year 2026.

In the following article, we share the spiritual vision behind these sacred observances, while a detailed Festival Calendar Table is provided separately, for easy reference in India, Europe and Australia.

The Sacred Design of Human Life

Vishwaguruji reminds us that human life is not accidental. It is designed for serving the whole of creation, protecting nature, and understanding the divine intelligence behind existence. Whether it is vegetation, oceans, mountains or animals, humans are meant to live according to need, not greed. When this balance is lost, violence, restlessness and dissatisfaction arise.

To protect humanity from this downfall, the great rishis, saints, and realised masters of the world created a spiritual rhythm for life – a living calendar filled with festivals, holy days, cultural observances, and social celebrations. These were not created for entertainment alone, but to keep human vrittis (mental tendencies) peaceful, while continuously uplifting consciousness.

Almost every day carries spiritual significance. When life is lived in harmony with this sacred rhythm, there is no space for unnecessary conflict, fear or destructive behaviour. Every day becomes meaningful. Every day becomes a festival.

The Weekly Spiritual Cycle: Every Day is a Festival

The seven days of the week are aligned with cosmic energies, planetary forces, and divine principles. Observing them consciously transforms ordinary life into spiritual practice.

Monday – Consciousness, Day of Lord Shiva

Monday is dedicated to God Shiva, the embodiment of consciousness, renunciation and supreme awareness. Abhishek, prayers, fasting and meditation help calm the mind and dissolve inner agitation.

Tuesday – Strength and Fearlessness (Hanumanji)

Tuesday represents Mangal (Mars) – physical and spiritual strength. It is the sacred day of Hanumanji, remover of fear and awakener of strong willpower. Worship on this day develops courage, clarity, and unshakable confidence.

Wednesday  – Balance and Wisdom (Ganeshji)

Wednesday is dedicated to Bhagawan Ganesh, the remover of obstacles. His divine qualities – joy, balance, gentleness, and wisdom – guide household and spiritual life. His divine energies manifest as riddhi, siddhi, and buddhi, representing prosperity, accomplishment and intelligence.

5. ganeshji wm

Thursday – Guru Day (Jupiter)

Thursday is ruled by Jupiter (the guru), the highest planetary force and guru of all planets. It is the day of spiritual learning, gratitude to the Guru, scriptures and expansion of wisdom.

6. divali india wm

Friday – Contentment and Divine Mother (Santosh Maa)

Friday is dedicated to Divine Mother, Santosh Maa, symbolising peace, satisfaction and contentment. Santosh, inner fulfilment, is the foundation of true happiness and spiritual stability.

Saturday – Discipline and Sadhana (Saturn)

Saturday is governed by Shani (Saturn) – a powerful and sensitive force. It teaches discipline, humility and karma. Sadhana (spiritual practice), simplicity, and traditions such as consuming black sesame, help balance its influence.

Sunday – Surya and Vishnu Consciousness

Sunday honours Surya Narayan, the Sun – the source of life and clarity. It is also associated with Lord Vishnu, the sustainer of creation. Fasting, prayer and gratitude strengthen vitality and inner light.

Living the Festival Life

The wisdom of the rishis teaches us that spiritual life is not occasional – it is daily. When each day is lived consciously, aligned with divine principles, life becomes purposeful and peaceful.

As Vishwaguruji teaches, when humans stay busy with spiritual awareness, service, and celebration, there is no time for fear, anger or conflict. The heart remains peaceful. The mind remains clear.

Every day has a spiritual event. Every day is designed for growth.
